Project SINAG visits

Project SINAG conducted a site visit, collaboration meeting, and training workshop at the Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U), La Paz, Iloilo City, on November 9-10, 2022. 

During the site visit at ISAT U, Dr. Jeark A. Principe, SINAG Project Leader, along with Engr. Maria Divina Angela I. Bauzon and Engr. Ian B. Benitez, Senior Science Research Specialists, discussed the project overview and research updates from each project component (SolarPot and OutSolar, respectively).

Moreover, the team visited Project KWAAGO (Knowledge Center for Weather Atmospherical Astronomical and Geophysical Observation) in ISAT U Dumangas Campus to check their equipment and facility for the weather data, which Project SINAG can use in their work.

Project SINAG also visited the small-scale solar PV installation in ISAT U La Paz Campus. Furthermore, ISAT U uses solar PV installation for their Solar Dryer, mainly for drying leaves. Lastly, Project SINAG conducted a GIS Training Workshop on Solar PV Potential Assessment and Introduction to Solar PV Output Forecasting, participated by 16 faculty researchers from different ISAT U Campuses.
